As we have for the past several years, ZAI donated 100 wreaths to Wreaths Across America. These 100 wreaths were among the more than 257,000 wreaths laid at Arlington National Cemetery on 12/10/23 and 12/16/23.

Wreaths Across America has a mission—Remember, Honor, Teach—which is carried out in part by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies on a specified Saturday in December at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as veterans cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond. In 2022, more than 2.7 wreaths were laid in total. The wreaths laid in Arlington are made in Maine and trucked down to Virginia, where volunteers lay them on grave sites throughout the cemetery.

There was a day prior to the main wreath laying event for family members of loved ones interred at Arlington to lay a wreath on that loved one’s place of rest. The main wreath laying day was then open to the general public to participate.

There is no government funding for this event. The costs are paid by individual wreaths sponsors, corporate donors, and volunteer truckers. We are honored to have been a small part of ensuring every grave was adorned with a wreath again this year.
