The purpose of the annual ZAI Scholarship program is to promote the continued education of ZAI’s employees and their immediate families and to recognize those who have demonstrated academic and/or employment excellence.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria: (1) be a current ZAI employee or immediate family member (spouse, child, or dependent), (2) be accepted at an accredited two- or four-year college or university to pursue a degree beginning either the Fall or Spring of the coming academic year, and (3) submit a completed application package per the requirements stated on the application.
This year, the Scholarship Committee reviewed all complete submissions received by the May 17 deadline and made its selections. Congratulations to Chelsea B. and Abdul K.
Chelsea is a ZAI employee. She is proud of the fact that she balanced working full-time while earning her Bachelor’s degree and graduating Magna Cum Laude. She continues to work full-time while pursuing her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus, with a goal of advancing her career at ZAI.
Abdul is the son of a long-term ZAI employee. Abdul is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. His ultimate goal is to design “programs that bridge gaps in educational equity, improve access to vital resources, and foster community engagement.” Abdul is a two-time ZAI scholarship winner.
