TSA Awards Records Management Consulting Contract

ZAI, as part of the BarnAllen Technologies, Inc. team, has won a BPA contract with the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) to provide records management services, and update records management policies and guidance to be compliant with Federal record management regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and Presidential Executive Order.

TSA’s mission is to protect the Nation’s air, rail, transit, and highway transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce. To fulfill its mission, TSA has approximately 65,000 employees assigned to field locations throughout the continental United States and its territories, and headquarters located in Arlington, VA. TSA deploys approximately 50,000 Transportation Security Officers (TSO) to screen 1.7 million passengers each day at more than 460 airports and mass transit stations nationwide. TSA has 17 offices of record that create, use, and maintain paper and electronic records.
