Mr. McKern has more than 35 years of progressive U.S. Navy experience including 25+ years of senior engineering and management positions supporting a broad range of Department of the Navy contracts. After joining ZAI in 2012, he spearheaded the company’s management efforts in the Northeast; expanded our presence within the region; and led our highly specialized and diverse group of U.S. Navy Submarine technicians, engineers, and support personnel to the leading edge of maintenance and modernization.
As Division Director for Navy Operations, Mr. McKern effectively uses his executive and programmatic management experience, strong solid working relationships with customers, and personal high-quality assurance standards to move ZAI forward within the Naval community.
Mr. McKern holds a Multi-Disciplinary MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Post University. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute.
Mr. McKern is veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine force and served aboard multiple classes of ships, including being a plank owner of the USS Kentucky SSBN 737 (Gold). He holds an MBA with a multidisciplinary concentration and a BS in Business, both from Post University, and is a former elected city councilman in the state of Georgia.
In his free time, he enjoys sports, cooking and spending time with his family.
