Donald Sullivan

Division Manager

Mr. Sullivan joined ZAI in 2013, bringing more than 25 years of leadership and expertise in areas of record, system and project management with a focus on process improvement. As a Division Manager, Mr. Sullivan provides corporate-level oversight for our work at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He directly supports customer-facing operations to ensure we apply ZAI’s high standards to our FDA work, create an environment of positive engagement for our staff, and provide continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.  In addition, he champions ZAI’s ISO program, leading our transition and certification under the current ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards.

Prior to coming to ZAI, Mr. Sullivan spent several years at SAIC, working with the U.S. Navy’s Director of Records, and more than 20 years before that with corporations in several industries across a variety of project management, business analysis, and software lifecycle development positions.

Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron in Accounting, which he admits was never used in a traditional way from the start. As graduation neared, he resigned his jewelry store bookkeeper position and joined IBM in pursuit of a career related to computers. The combination of a business education, early administrative roles, and a transition into the development and implementation of business applications led to a career built on bonding business processes with technical solutions.

Mr. Sullivan has an amazing and patient wife who has put up with him for more than 30 years, and enjoys imparting significant amounts of unsolicited “wisdom” to his daughter, son, and their spouses. His free time is spent spoiling his three grandchildren and ruining hour upon hour of beautiful days by attempting to rekindle a long-abandoned passion for golf.
