Rachel Williams joined ZAI in February 2021 and is responsible for all aspects of business development for the company, participating in client meetings, forums, and professional organizations; leading capture and proposal development; and performing competitive analyses. She also supports teaming and subcontractor identification, collects business intelligence, and oversees all ZAI proposal submissions. She leads a team of dedicated professionals to provide business development as a service to the organization.
Ms. Williams has 15 years in the Federal sector. Starting on contract as a Federal Records Manager for TRICARE, she quickly moved into project management, program management, proposal writing, and business development support. Over her career, Ms. Williams has worked with large and small companies in the DC metropolitan area to evolve organization business development processes and capabilities, launch and sustain marketing campaigns, build social media channels, and support internal corporate initiative to achieve business goals.
Prior to her work on the Federal space, Ms. Williams supported company presidents as chief of staff; worked in higher-learning institutions assisting the management and award of academic scholarships; outside sales and marketing across industries; and worked as a show horse rider and groom.
Ms. Williams holds a BA from Humboldt State University.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling the globe solo and with friends, collecting art, learning to SCUBA dive, cooking, reading, and exploring her DC neighborhood with her dogs.
