The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) became ZAI’s first customer in 1978 under subcontract to a larger firm. Today, NAVSEA is still our customer—and we’re the large firm managing the contract. We provide technical support for Combat System Design Reviews, System Level Impact Assessments, and waiver requests to NAVSEA Technical Specifications and manuals. We also coordinate problem resolution for installation and ship availabilities. We develop operational impact analyses that identify emergent problems and provide hull, mechanical, and electrical and electronics problem resolution. Our team conducts technical coordination and reviews of the Combat System Engineering Availability Program and provides problem resolution. In addition, ZAI provides information system development, assurance and IT support related to modernization development, documentation tracking, records/data management support and tracking, program management, financial management, and training.
