8/25/2006 - ZAI Represents FEMA’s MSC at the ASFPM Conference in Albuquerque

ON behalf of FEMA’s Map Service Center (MSC), ZAI exhibited at the Association of State Floodplain managers (ASFPM) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 11-16, 2006. ZAI had two booths to demonstrate how to view map images, order Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM) products, and to create “FIRMettes” for both black, white and color images. The FIRMettes are a user-defined portion of a map image at the same scale as the FIRM. In addition, the FIRMette also captures the map title block, the north arrow, and the scale bar. ZAI also demonstrated their new online tool, “Express Document Delivery” or (EDDie) which provides a quicker and easier interface for downloading digital products for the MSC’s exempt users. With this application there is no need to place an order or use the Digital Post Office. ZAI maintains and operates the MSC located in Elkridge, Maryland.
