6/20/2006 - ZAI participates in ARMA International's Mid-Atlantic Region Leadership Meeting

THE Mid-Atlantic Region Leadership Meeting was held June 8-10, 2006 in Philadelphia, PA.

THE two day meeting focused on educational networking and organizational assistance. These subjects enable the Region's Chapters and members to leverage their skills and experience to promote Records Information Management (RIM) values and knowledge to employers, colleagues, and their communities.

THEkeynote speaker, Ms. Julie Gable, spoke on "Electronic Records Management (ERM) Changes, Trends, Best Practices." The emerging best practices in today's environment include: capturing records automatically, maintaining uniform minimal metadata across all objects, simplified classifications, and having an enterprise repository that handles documents, data, and e-mail. Other presentations included: "Creative Association Leadership" and "Business Records Identify Theft - A Vendor's Perspective". The meeting concluded with an open discussion of the state-of-the-region and the chapter's leadership issues and concerns.

ZAI's employee, Suzanne Swenson, President of the Northern Virginia ARMA Chapter, represented ZAI and the Chapter at the meeting.

ZAI's commitment to ARMA also includes participating on ARMA's ISG Pharmaceutical Committee and regularly supporting Chapter meetings and national conferences. Additionally, ZAI hosted the Regional ICRM Workshop.
