6/9/2008 - DCPL Awards Martin Luther King Library Contract to ZAI

AS a public library, the DC Public Library (DCPL) needs to staff the Martin Luther King Library and its 26 branches with qualified personnel during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Keeping the locations fully staffed at all times presents challenges for the District. For a solution, DCPL awarded an IDIQ contract to ZAI to provide Reference Librarians and Library Technicians on short notice. As a result, ZAI is building a pool of on-call library personnel. The on-call team was given a project overview and staff sign-up. Staff and procedures are in place to assign a Reference Librarian or Library Technician at a DCPL Branch Library within hours of receiving the request.
