ZAI, as part of the Creative Information Technology, Inc. (CITI) Team, was recently awarded the new Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). CIO-SP3, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), is valued at $20 billion over a 10-year term.

CIO-SP3 is the follow-on GWAC to CIO-SP2, which had 48 prime contractors with a budget of $19.5 billion. Under CIO-SP2, agencies have spent less than $10 billion since 2000, according to FederalNewsRadio.com. NIH’s new CIO-SP3 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracts are aimed at supporting the IT efforts of many Federal agencies—including many of ZAI’s current and previous customers, such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Labor (DOL) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, CIO-SP3 will have a focus on health and biomedical-related IT services in support of federal agencies’ health missions. The CIO-SP3 GWAC has a $20 billion ceiling and provides specialized IT support in 10 functional areas.

ZAI is among three companies that joined with CITI to form a consortium under a Contractor Team Arrangement (CTA) to actively seek and bid on CIO-SP3 task orders. With the now issued CIO-SP3 award, the CITI-led consortium is one of 54 corporate teams that were awarded the new CIO-SP3 contract. The CTA is further bolstered by a strong group of stellar sub-contractors that bring unique expertise, domain knowledge and skill sets to address the requirements of the CIO-SP3 award.
