ZAI is proud to announce its financial support of Medical Mission for Mercy USA, a non-profit organization that provides free medical, surgical, and dental services to the underprivileged both in America and abroad.

In addition to financial support, ZAI Senior Vice President of Business Development, Tony Santore, is traveling to the Philippines on the 2012 mission trip. As a photographer, he will document the work of the 50-60 volunteers making the trip. Other volunteers will include doctors, surgeons, therapists, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, assistants, health educators, and students, among others.

While abroad, the group will perform major and minor surgeries; conduct routine health, dental, and eye examinations; provide free medications, vitamins, and nutritional guidance; and educate the population so they can have a healthier future.

In 2011 alone, MMOM has treated more than 38,000 patients, including 950 major surgeries, more than 3,500 minor surgeries, more than 16,000 medical consultations, and almost 20,000 dental procedures.
